Jeffrey Lin

Associate

“The work that we do for providers helps them navigate a complex and often convoluted health care regulatory environment so that they can focus more of their energies on patient care. It’s very rewarding and meaningful to contribute in that way.”

Jeffrey Lin’s practice focuses on compliance counseling and litigation representation for hospitals, post-acute care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, and other providers on a diverse range of issues across the regulatory spectrum.

Jeffrey provides prompt and thorough analysis to assist clients facing complex compliance concerns or pending investigations and enforcement actions. He has experience with a wide range of Medicare reimbursement issues, including appearing before Administrative Law Judges and representing clients through appeals before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board (PRRB) and in federal court. Jeffrey has also worked on False Claims Act and No Surprises Act issues, provided COVID-19 compliance guidance, and drafted contracts with state agencies, among other matters.

While earning his law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law, Jeffrey served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Therese Stewart at the California Court of Appeal and a law clerk at the East Bay Community Law Center’s Health and Welfare Practice. Prior to law school, he interned for the American Public Health Association (APHA) in Washington, D.C.
