Associate Ian Tapu Speaks at UCLA’s Pacific Islands’ Student Association

On February 22, Ian Tapu was a panelist at the Islanders Maintaining Unity and Access Conference hosted by UCLA’s Pacific Islands’ Student Association.

The event bused in more than 150 Pacific Islander high school and Middle school students from around Los Angeles County. The other panelists include:

  • Lyndsey Watson: Native Hawaiian actress, writer, director, and singer.
  • Joey Quenga: Chamorro educator and CEO of Island City Media, a media platform advocating for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander representation.
  • Tiana Nonosina Liufau: Pacific Islander cultural practitioner, dancer, choreographer, and educator.
