About

“Being an effective litigator requires putting pieces of a puzzle together, but you can’t look at things in a piecemeal fashion. You have to view every fact and issue holistically.”

Ruth Kachatorian’s litigation practice is built on an impressive academic focus on health care law and a passion for advocacy. She combines a keen eye for detail with a big-picture perspective across a broad spectrum of contested matters, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and the False Claims Act; business torts and contract disputes; reimbursement and managed care claims; and many other issues.

Ruth’s litigation background extends beyond health care law to include general business disputes, insurance litigation, employment, and probate and estate disputes.
Diligent and collaborative, responsive and accessible, she approaches each case with an appreciation of what’s at stake for her client. Ruth is candid and straightforward in her counsel, and she constantly thinks about how best to achieve her clients’ goals, whether a strategy occurs to her during the workday or a creative approach dawns long after the sun has set.

Reflecting her long-standing affinity for health care law, Ruth served as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine, North America’s leading health law journal focused exclusively on legal issues at the intersection of law and medicine.
