Hooper, Lundy & Bookman’s Commitment to Fighting for Health Equity and Racial Justice
Hooper, Lundy & Bookman has long been committed to the principle of fighting for equal access to health care for all. We recognize this remains one of the biggest challenges facing our society today. We continue to see greater rates of COVID-19 infection, and diminished health outcomes, for Black Americans and other people of color. In the midst of this crisis, we were dismayed by the horrific death of George Floyd and too many others before him, highlighting that health equity is but one aspect of racial justice in our society.
To underscore our commitment to this principle, the firm is making financial contributions to five organizations in the areas we primarily serve – Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington, DC – that provide emergency COVID-19 and other healthcare support to the underserved in our communities.
The firm will continue to explore the ways and means to support these and other organizations doing this important work. Along with this support, we will continue to prioritize our efforts for greater diversity, equity and inclusion within the firm.
