Telehealth Medication Abortions Remain Protected (For Now)

A Louisiana federal district court judge ruled on April 7 that mifepristone, a popularly prescribed medication for abortions in the U.S., can continue to be legally prescribed through telehealth patient encounters and otherwise. The court’s decision is largely deferential to the FDA discretion and authority in regulating such matters.
