Partnership Eligibility

Hooper, Lundy & Bookman hires associates believing they have the potential to spend their entire legal careers at the firm, becoming partners and leaders in the health care industry along the way. We invest in associates’ growth and development with the expectation they will strive for partnership and contribute to our future success.

Admission to partnership is based on an associate’s performance and the firm’s high standards for all of our lawyers. To be considered for partnership, attorneys must have practiced at least eight years, with at least two of those years at HLB. Additional criteria include:

• Legal expertise and quality of legal services
• Solid reputation in the health care law community
• Responsiveness to clients
• Productivity, efficiency, and an ability to handle multiple projects
• Compliance with firm policies
• Primary or secondary sourcing and business development
• Billable hours
• Meaningful administrative contributions
• Working relationships with staff and other lawyers in the firm
• Excellent judgment and trustworthiness
