“One of the great things about working on health care matters is that even in contentious or adversarial situations, everyone ultimately has the same goal – improving the delivery of patient care. I feel fortunate to be a part of those efforts on behalf of our clients.”

With an abiding commitment to health care and a history of helping providers and suppliers deliver quality care that predates his legal career, Kerry Sakimoto works on a wide range of business, transactional, and compliance matters.

Kerry’s work at the firm has involved significant research and counseling on telehealth matters, helping businesses and providers expand into new markets, each with its own regulatory scheme regarding the delivery of telehealth services. He has assisted with contract drafting, transactional due diligence, and “Friendly PC” arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.

Before attending law school, Kerry worked at the California Medical Association, where he provided information and resources to physicians and other providers on legal and compliance questions of all kinds. This experience gave Kerry a deep appreciation of how invested providers are in their work and how complicated the health care system can be, fueling his desire to make health care the focus of his legal career.

Throughout his academic and professional pursuits, Kerry has worked on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues and continues to do so as part of the firm’s DEI efforts.
